Weekly Reflection #6
COI: I like the COI model because of the holistic approach it takes to learning. It shows how different elements like social connection, engagement with content, and teacher guidance all work together to create the best educational experience for students. I appreciate that it shows how optimizing these pieces together helps support learning and stronger student engagement.

TIM: The Technology Integration Matrix is a model that helps teachers think about how technology can support learning. It combines five learning characteristics of active, collaborative, constructive, authentic, and goal-directed with five scaled levels of technology use, from basic use to more transformative learning experiences. The model helps teachers see how technology can move beyond simple tools and instead support deeper, more student-centered learning. https://fcit.usf.edu/matrix/matrix

SAMR: The SAMR model is a framework that helps teachers think about how technology is being used in their lessons. It has four levels: Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. Each level shows how technology can move from simply replacing traditional tools to enhancing learning in new ways. It helps teachers differentiate on whether technology is just being used as a substitute or actually improving learning.

TPACK: The TPACK model focuses on the knowledge for teachers need on integrating technology into their teaching. It brings together three key areas: content knowledge (what you teach), pedagogical knowledge (how you teach), and technological knowledge (the tools you use).
