Free Inquiry Post #6

My Nonna’s pasta is the base of many of my favourite recipes. Growing up, her lasagna was always my favourite dish, and I have such fond memories of her teaching me how to make pasta from scratch.

We would pull out the pasta crank and make huge batches together, rolling out sheets of dough and cutting them into fettuccine, pappardelle, and lasagna sheets. It was always such a fun experience, and those afternoons in the kitchen are some of my favourite memories.

When I travelled to Italy, I remember talking about how I wanted to get back into making homemade pasta again. Before I had even returned from my trip, my Nonna had already found and bought me a pasta crank on Facebook Marketplace so I could start making it myself.

Now I love using it to make big batches of pasta that I can freeze and pull out whenever I want a comforting homemade meal. She even wrote her pasta recipe right on the box of the crank, so whenever I make it, I just look at the box and follow her recipe.

Here are some images of some pasta that I made recently.

Here is a video that people might find has some helpful tips on how to crank pasta made from scratch.
